I have been out more lately, walking around San Francisco shooting from the hip; those snapshots of people in urban environments… very raw and very stimulating; the reason I do it. Patiences and time. Learning how to slow it down, turn off the brain and look for the poetry in the form of the visual. Everything has to line-up, and you can’t force it or control it. It controls you and you take what it gives. This is what I have learned. Just be there, that is 80% of it. And not getting rattled by what is going on around you, seeing with all of your heart, mind, and eye.
